Many organizations and individuals look forward to
understand and learn from the SEWA Rural's experiences
successes and setbacks. To facilitate this, a training
centre was established in 1990 with modern facilities for which
financial assistance was graciously given by the US based share &
care foundation which was initiated by Indians settled in America.
Students from various faculties from India
& abroad, workers from voluntary organizations (grassroot
workers & paramedical workers of community health project,
comprehensive eye programme and
rehabilitation programme for the blind) and
Intern doctors from Medical Colleges of Gujarat & also from USA
take advantage of the training centre. Every year about more than 50
varied organizations and over 1000 trainees are benefited. In addition
few of our doctors and other friends have started various health &
development activities for the poor in other areas having worked in
SEWA Rural for few years. This is a matter of lot of joy and great
satisfaction for us. Various training programmes
and workshops are also organised for the
staff of SEWA Rural so as to enhance as well as reaffirm their
competence, knowledge and involvement beside the informal core value of
organization.
On 18th Feb 2010 New Health Training Reseourse Centre has been started with the Helping MacArther Foundation and Govt. of India.
Training Center recognized by
UNICEF and Govt. for IMNCI
(Integrated Management of neonatal and childhood illness.
Training Center gives training
to paramedical , frontline workers to strengthen
their capacity to serve rural poor. Trainers came from Voluntary organization from Gujarat,
Rajashthan and other states also. Ongoing training for staff development and about organizational issues.
