This prestigious Award has been conferred on SEWA Rural for being compassionate caregiver, incisive investigator and principled public health activist, in recognition of consistent performance over quarter century making good health possible for the impoverished and vulnerable communities by family focused health care saving lives even in the most remote reaches and under harshest conditions.

Presented Vivekananda medal to SEWA Rural in recognition of its meritorious contributions to uplift rural poor communities of tribal area in pursuit of high ideas and ideals of Swami Vivekananda. Steadfast devotion and dedication towards attaining the supreme goal of reaching out to neglected masses is aptly reflected in various activities of SEWA Rural which was visualised by Swami Vivekananda.
